How Long are Treatments & Any Downtime?

  • After treatment, there may be mild redness and swelling that typically alleviates in 24 hours

  • Patients may return to normal activities immediately after a treatment

   Benefits of Xeomin & Botox
Both Xeomin & Botox are used to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles between the brows (“11s”), forehead, around the eyes (“crow’s feet”), and mouth. Injections can effectively treat medical conditions, including migraines, hyperhidrosis, TMJ, and cervical dystonia. Injections are convenient and do not require any downtime.

What is Xeomin?

Xeomin (incobotulinumtoxinA) is a neurotoxin made from Clostridium botulinum. Unlike traditional Botox, it is the only botulinum toxin free of unnecessary protein additives. Like Botox, Xeomin is clinically proven to reduce and eliminate moderate to severe wrinkles by relaxing muscles.

How Long do the Effects Last?
Effects typically last 3-6 months. Effects may last longer when treating some medical conditions.

When Do the Injections Take Effect?

Noticeable effects may occur 3-6 days after injections, but full results will not be seen until 14 days after treatment.

Injection Post Care
-Do not lie down for at least 4 hours after treatment.
-Do not drink alcohol or take NSAIDs for 24 hours.
-Do not massage or rub treated areas for 24 hours.

-Wait at least 3 days to get a facial/massage.
-Wait at least 24 hours for vigorous physical activity.

What are the Potential Side Effects?

The most common, temporary side effects include mild bruising or swelling at injection sites for 24-48hrs.
Uncommon side effects include headache, pain, eye lid drooping, muscle weakness, or asymmetrical smile.

    Dermal Filler

Dermal Fillers are gel-like substances injected into the skin at different depths to provide facial volume, fill in facial wrinkles, soften lines, and enhance facial contours.  Dermal Filler results are temporary, not permanent, and can last 6-24 months, depending on the area treated and filler selected.  Dermal Fillers offer a non-surgical alternative to facial rejuvenation and beautification.

When Do the Injections Take Effect?

Right away!  Filler results can be seen as soon as the procedure is completed.

There may be some initial swelling and settling that can take up to 14 days to fully resolve.  Most bruising or swelling is minor and alleviates within 2-7 days.

It is important that the treatment area is left alone for 3 days after injections. Massaging or firmly pressing on the area could alter the results.

What are the Risks of Dermal Fillers?

As with any injectable procedure, there is always the risk of bruising, bleeding, or vascular compromise. Avoiding non-steroidal anti-inflammatories (NSAIDs like Aspirin, Advil, & Aleve) prior to treatment can reduce the risk.
